Good morning! OMG! This definitely took me all night. If I would of figured out that I didnt need the scanner and just use the printer, I think I would saved time. My sister called me to tell me that she picked out the card for me to case. It actually worked out great, as this card is going to our friends tomorrow. He just received this huge trailer from his job because he drills for oil, so he has somewhere to sleep while on the road. He usually brings a dog along with him too. And its used for recreational times also.
Here is my story:
I love the painted scenes that Michelle creates, but a card was already picked out by my sister. The Featured Stamper is Michelle known as Justpaintingaround. Here is the card I cased: FS110 Os Bday by JustPaintingAround at Splitcoaststampers. I started out by making the base of the card a 3 1/2 x 7 1/2. I cut a piece of whisper white c/s and started sponging the clouds. I had such a hard time with this too. Tried 3 times to get it right. I made a template to sponge the clouds from a scallop circle punch. I colored the the mountain view and trees with colored markers. Cut out and used as a mask. The trees and the mountain are one stamp. I found it at a garage sale. I used colored markers on the little trees from a very old stamp set that has landscapes in it. I also did the stamping off the page technique but you can hardly see it because of the truck. I sanded a piece of black c/s, added white ink lightly, and used a white gel pen for the likes on the road. The mountain scene and the road are 2 separate pieces, only because I wasn't paying too much attention. It dawned on me that the truck image from Loads of Love is the opposite of what I needed, so I got this weird idea...the SCANNER. Actually the printer worked better for this. I flipped the image and made the truck and the camper look smaller. Printed out. My sister sent me this Road Trip stamp set that had the camper trailer in it. Isn't she sweet. Worked perfect here. I colored both vehicles the colors of their vehicles with prismacolor pencils, blending stumps, and odorless mineral spirits. I used clear emboss powder on them to make it look like the vehicles were shiny using the heat tool. Cut out vehicles. I added a piece of chipboard to the back of both vehicles along with foam tape. I used black velcro and added a brad for the wheels. Adhered to road. I stamped the people and the pets with black ink, and colored them using colored pencils. Adhered to chipboard as well. Cut out. Adhered with foam tape. This also worked with this photo because my friends have 3 dogs and 3 kids. Our friend really does have bald hair and wears glasses too. They also just got this huge trailer for his job. So this whole scene is great. I added blue sheer ribbon and looped it through the circle as the sun, which is punched out using a cm circle punch. Sponged with pumpkin and more mustard inks. I really had making this fun card and hope my friends like it too. My husband thinks its cute. Thank you for looking and making comments.
Have a wonderful Sunday. The snow missed us
