Hi! This card was made for today's Inspiration Challenge: The painting by Glenda Mosher.
Glenda, aka Robinringtail, is a FANTASTIC painter/artist! WOW! ALL her paintings are inspiring, but my favorite is called TIGER LILY. Here is a Link to her online blog. You can view my inspiration piece on the right sidebar 9th from the bottom.
I stamped the image onto watercolor paper with VersaMark and embossed in Gold. Next, I used an aqua painter to blend the colors. I also used a spritzer to add the dots.
The blue panel was cut from a Sizzix Die. You can't really tell, but it is a filigree clock die. (I used this to get the ILLUSION of depth, and it added some color!) I embossed the black layers using the main image stamped in VersaMark. (Hence, no dots! LOL) The leaves and swirls are also Sizzix die cuts.
I used a paint pen, ala NANCYRUTH, to outline the sentiment.

I was hoping Speedy the cat would inspire you to choose a painting from my blogspot! What a compliment Faith! What a stunning tiger lily card! I think you should frame this and hang it on your wall. You have such an artful eye yourself! Thanks for visiting my blogspot and for this gorgeous card!

Faith, this is so pretty. I love the gold on your lilly. I would have thought that you would have picked the irises. I guess I was wrong. I love the richness and depth of the dp that you used. The swirls are really neat.
