I went with the melted crayon technique for this one. It's easy and I enjoy the results.
I'm so disapointed with the scan. This pic does NOT look like the real thing. Here the colors are dull but not irl. There is pink in it which is why I chose to use... get this... Positively Pink CS. Can you believe I still have some of that?? I don't think you can tell but I used the linen bg on the cs. I used dd on the butterfly and it really sparkles.
Thanks for taking a look!

Oh, yay! It's nice seeing someone else doing the melted crayon! I also enjoy it, and it is so fun seeing the results!
Your card is BEAUTIFUL!!!! I love all the different colors you chose, and the mulberry sets off your butterfly so nicely!! Great job on this one!!

Fabulous crayon background, love the hint of texture as well as the colours - I'm turning up the vibrancy quota in my head to allow for what happens with a scan!

What!! You're calling those colours dull!! Can't believe that. You should have seen mine, didn't even make it onto the card. I just LOVE yours, maybe I'll have to try again. No - maybe not, my iron cut out when I covered it with the foil. Yours makes me think of lovely lace applique and quilting.

Lovely background! I have not idea how you get them to look so good!
