I love the shadowbox effect from this recessed window technique, featured a few weeks ago on the SCS Technique Challenge TLC206: Forums at Splitcoaststampers I've also seen this technique called Faux Shadow Box.
The tree line was stamped on Creamy Caramel cardstock with Creamy Caramel ink, using a stampa-ma-jig. I then masked off the trees and stippled with Creamy Caramel ink for the "ground." Next, the pussywillow image were stamped with Versafine Vintage Sepia and clear embossed. After I stippled all around the image for shading with Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip, I colored the pussywillow buds with a white gel pen, then shaded them with my blender pen and the Going Gray marker. The branches were colored in with the Creamy Caramel marker, and then completely edged with the Versamarker. Last step was applying White Fun Flock with careful dabs of Tombow Multi Adhesive.
The scrollwork around the frame is made with the Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder and Creamy Caramel cardstock. Edges were sponged with Creamy Caramel ink and the raised surface design was highlighted with the White Craft pad, direct to paper. The corners are triangles made by cutting two punched one-inch squares in half.
This card measures 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches.
