Today's ways to use it challenge was to use a recycled or found item in you stamping project. I had just finished reading this week's tutorial on Gesso Resist and since I have duplicates of my Yoga Journal magazine coming in every month, I decided that would be a great thing to recycle into a card. Finding the Gesso was the most challenging part of this new technqiue. "Imagine you're a flower" seemed like such a lovely title, I didn't realize at first glance that this was an article about cleansing toxins from the body, not quite the lovely imagery then!!! So I covered up a lot of the wording about toxins and colons with my cut out flowers and ribbon. Check out the tutorial for how this background is created. Large cut out flowers were stamped in Cameo Coral ink and then I sponged the edges with Pumpkin Pie ink. I love how the colors turned out on this. It was so odd when I sponged the Certainly Celery ink onto the background piece, it came out more as Sage Shadow.

Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.

Great page to use for this technique! I guess if you choose the right recipient they might even like the detox info - lol! Love the exuberance of the colours and all the flowers - great job!
