At our shoebox swap yesterday, one of the gal's brought these little time-intensive creations of images under plexiglass and encased in metal. They were created by her extremely talented husband just for us to make cards. Isn't that little bird so sweet!!! I'm sorry the photo doesn't do justice to the magnificent job he did creating this gem.
Well, I didn't get to make all the cards at the swap yesterday. But I knew that I wanted to incorporate the little framed piece into a V-day themed card. Then I saw D's heart card, so that's the route I took.
I colored Bella Toile with Prismacolors, stamped Toile Blossoms on silver and cut it out, added some Prima flowers and topped that with an ancient button from my sewing stash.
This is a very different style card for me, but I hope you like it! (We must keep pushing that comfort zone, mustn't we?!!!)

This is gorgeous!! Way to go out of your comfort zone and make it look like it was a walk in the park!! Love the pretty heart and the lovely little frame!
