Hi! This card was made for today's Technique Lovers Challenge: Paper Pleats.
Now, I have to admit...When I was a corporate "in the field" DM, I had to wear pants...I usually wore Dockers...However, as I grew BIGGER...(PREGO), I had to get bigger pants...After I had Markie, well...I STAYED in the bigger pants! YIKES...So when I see the word PLEAT I freak! LOL! (It's a great way to add 30 pounds to your middle, if you NEED it...Ummm....Not needed here! LOL!
So, this was a fun challenge, since I knew I wasn't going to WEAR it! I tore a sheet of designer paper to about 3/4" thick and 11" long. Next, I folded it back in small increments to create pleats. Next, I SEWED the pleats together by running a straight stitch across the paper. Then, I sponged on color so that the pleats and stitches would show.
The image was stamped in Noir Black Palette Ink and colored in with SU! markers. I used an aqua painter to blend. The background oval was sponged with Sage Shadow for clouds/sky.
