you must have had a delightful 20 years, pressed4time with the Lang calendars...I loved looking at the art within them! Thanks Stef for an inspiring card today, also!!!! There were so many I loved, but being a blue-blood espresso fiend...I took my inspiration from this one. If you click on more images you can see the exact art I cased.
I couldn't help but think of Mutnik while I SKETCHED out my rendering...that's what real artists do! Cathy is an awesome artist, have a visit to her gallery. I hand drew the tie and the little black dress on Brazzill linen cs, using a white Signo pen for the pattern on the tie. I cut points for the collar with GP white cs. The dress has Platinum stickle buttons and a Kaiser Craft pearl necklace. The espresso cups are from Crafty Secrets Coffee Set as is the coffee sign. The cups were stamped in VersaMark and embossed in clear. I ChalkBox the cups with creamy brown and added liquid applique to MY cup, cause I get all the foam in my house!!! I did change the good day of the original to "O HAPPY DAY" (Wordsworth).
Come vist me over at one 4 joy daily. I'm telling more espresso stories, I'd love for you to pull up a chair!
Thanks for looking and commenting!

I love this calendar and your card is just delightful!
I have saved every single year since I started collecting these calendars (my last name is Lang). Now I have fun picking out one for me and one for each of my grown children.
