Thank you Julia for a great WT challenge today! I couldn't get any more original than using Stickles on my dp. but I do like the effect, and will probably do it again!
I stamped my Big Lou Pirahna fish and seaweed onto wc paper and then I painted Masking Fluid over the fish and the seaweed. I also filled my brush with the fluid and tapped it to get a splatter of the stuff over the whole page. I wanted to have the look of bubbles in the water later, and I knew that would do it. The masking fluid dries to a plastic like film. I was able to do a watercolor wash, wet into wet overtop without getting the paint onto the images. When the blue wash was dry, I peeled the masks off the fish and seaweed and then painted them. For the light wave reflections in the water, I used a small wc brush that I dampened with water and removed some of the color using gentle strokes followed by dabbing with tissue.
I used Stickles on the dp to give it that added sparkle. The saying panel and two of the balloons are popped up on foam tape.
