This is for Inspiration Challenge #162. That Stef has gone and done it again. Today's challenge had a serious Asian flair and I had a hard time gettin' my Asian on today!
I saw flowers in the fireworks and, regretfully, I cannot draw to save my life. So I made a feable attempt at mums using Perfect Medium, Pearl Ex and gel pens on black stock. The sentiment translates to Friend in English and is embossed in gold.
Too bad the shimmer doesn't photograph, but thanks for looking anyway! And thank you for the challenge.

Listen carefully, Divine Ms M: I'm only going to say this once, okay? Dont apologize for your seemingly feeble attempt at drawing. As I looked at your card, the first thing that came to mind was this looks so wonderfully hand drawn. Come to find out, it was. Funny, I had pearl ex out today too, but since I dont know how to use it, that disaster got tossed. What's pearl medium? This is wonderfully asian so I think you can safely edit your narrative now and tell us how fabulously you color and used your pearl ex! When I come back, you'd better have made those changes!

Don't worry about your photography, it has impoved greatly over the months.
Probably because you pay attention to detail and learn from your experiences.

Wow!!!!! Your firework flowers are awesome. You draw really well actually. I thought that the firesworks towels looked like they could be flowers as well as fireworks and was trying to figure out how I could get a fireworks look. Wish I'd thought of your idead. Very clever! TFS

This is wonderful! I love your hand drawn mums and I am sure they are even more beautiful IRL. I find it so hard to capture sparkle and shimmer on my cards with photos! I know exactly which one you were inspired by and you have done it beautifully!!!
