This is for IC161 - based on cakes! Now, how did I get here? Well, I chose a cake on page 3, that had flowers, hummingbirds, butterflies in pinks, greens, yellows and orange. Here is the link to the cake http://cakenouveau.com/cakes3.html Okay, that is the wrong cake - if you click on to the left that is the cake I based my card on!!
I based my card mainly on the colours - the pink and the green - and thought it's hard to see - that popped up little bit is a butterfly! The background paper is flowers similar to the colours on the cake.
This is a card for Michelle, Shellapoo here on SCS.. She has her own physical challenges, but as well, her mom has several surgeries and along with many others, I wanted to send a card to both Michelle and her mom to show them that I care and am praying for them.
I actually did some sponging!! Certainly cerelery along the edges on the dp, antique linen distress ink on the certainly celery piece of celery paper , and on the main image. IRL it looks much more distressed. I never dreamt that I could distress an image!
The piercing proved to be a real challenge as it was an afterthought because the card needed something! You know how that is..
Thanks so much for looking.. I'll be back later to comment!

This is just so cute and that sentiment is just perfect. I think Shelly and her mom have leaned on each other for a long time, each helping the other in time of need. A perfect card for them. Great coloring and I love the dp.
