Hi! This card was made for today's Technique Lover's Challenge: Faux Silk with a Pop.
Well...Markie has been ill ever since he went to my sister's house! He's had a really bad cold and headache, so I've been sitting with him most of this time, trying to get him to relax...He wants to stamp, but he just can't sit without coughing! The doctor said it's just a cold, but.... Speedy the Cat hasn't left his side!
I slipped away this morning to quickly make this card. I decided to "step it up a notch" by adding Paper Piecing!
I stamped two images onto Whisper White card stock. I cut out both images. I colored in the hat, nose, buttons and scraf and CUT THOSE OUT. I cut out the second image and GLUED it to a piece of Via Turquoise card stock.
Next, I applied glue stick glue to the turquois card stock, OVER OTHER image, and around it. Next, I stamped SAME image onto tissue paper and crinkled it up.
Next, I smoothed it and lined up the image so that it MATCHED the WHITE one under it! I smoothed the tissue onto the glue and dusted it with Dazzling Diamonds. I waited a few minutes. Then, I cut the Oval with the Cuttlebug and Nesties. To finish, I used Snail adhesive to adhere the scraf, hat and buttons to the snowman. This gives a BRIGHTER look to the muted background.

You are a truly talented artist! This card is beautiful! Love the paper pieced hat and scarf! I hope Markie feels better for the holidays (and so that you both can get more stamping done!)
