Here's a gift card holder I whipped up this afternoon for one of the Christmas presents we're giving. I used a piece of cardstock 4.25" wide x 11" long and folded it at 4.25" and 8.5" to make a 4.25" square card with a 2.5" deep pocket to hold the gift card inside.
I was trying to incorporate both the color schemes from Holiday Challenge Extravaganza 01 to go with this "Jack Frost" paper from the Basic Grey Blitzen collection. When I realized how close the color scheme was to a card I'd uploaded earlier this year, I decided to try to reformat that layout into a square. I changed it a tiny bit by mirror-imaging the layout and by using a pearl brad this time. Oh, and I sponged this time. Here's the original card: to a very special friend by PH in VA at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks for looking! Victoria, thank you for the cool inspiration challenge.

Both this card and your original are lovely. I love how you layered the two patterned papers, letting the top layer hang down over the bottom one. Love the extra touches as well - it looks like you brushed the scalloped edging of the top paper with the ink color of the other DP... adds a lot of depth. And that pearl... way to my heart!
