This month Jamie challenged us to:
This month it was A Christmas/Hanukah/or Winter Card inspired by a childhood holiday memory or favorite thing about the season. Tell us about the memory or inspiration in your gallery description
Required Element: Wrapping paper. Use a piece of holiday wrapping paper on your card in some way.
Restricted Element: No snowflake stamps, papers or embellishments.
Growing up in Germany, we would celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve. After dinner, we would go to church and on the way home we would look for Santa's sleigh in the sky. Of course, we always saw a red flashing light that had to be it! When we arrived home, there would be piles of gifts under our tree. As kids we were convinced Santa was real because how else did all those gifts get there when the whole family was at church?? It was so exciting as a kid!!
I wrapped a piece of cardstock with wrapping paper to create the "gift".

Tracy, I *love* this! We always did gifts on Christmas Eve with my dad's side of the family, and a whole other celebration the next day with my mom's side of the family! We still do the same thing, but with *our* family first thing Christmas, then Mike's family, then my mom's side of the family. We also do an early Christmas with my mom & dad & siblings , just so we have time to spend relaxing before the bustle. Love that. . and love your wrap. I had almost the same! check it out: Check out the Wrapping Paper! by jbalcer at Splitcoaststampers
