We were to use this lovely Etsy shop, ImagesUnderGlass for our inspiration today. I had to stop after only looking at two pages out of twelve because I already had too many ideas.
This is based on this pendant - http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php...ng_id=18171096.
This is the one I thought wouldn't be a Christmas card, and it surprised me by turning into one for DH's owl-collecting friend. I stamped the owl twice, once with black ink on white card, and once with Versamark on black, and embossed with white. I stamped the branch straight onto some green Basic Grey, and stamped the balloon onto white, and added a sentiment. I added white to the leaves, and cut out both the owls and layered a head onto the body. All in the pursuit of getting closer to the inspiration, I am sure I could have just left one owl as it came! It's layered up onto some embossed brown Bazzill, and then some embossed white card. Diamond Stickles around the edges of the green and brown layers, and that was it.
To get the whole square Swiss dotted, I embossed as much as I could, and then carefully lined it up and embossed all the rest by hand with a fine embossing tool. There's got to be an easier way, but I am too tired to find the easy way.

I really like this little fella! Wow, I just love how you embossed him with white on black...well, I would like to try that someday soon. Thanks for sharing, this is truly an original Christmas card for an owl lover. I just know they will appreciate the special attention.
