Today's card is a real multi-purpose one. I saw the lovey photo Beate posted up for inspiration yesterday - Blogs at Splitcoaststampers . It reminded me of restaurants we've been to in Greece, one in particular.
But when I was thinking of looking out a stamp, I noticed this coloured Rubber Romance image sitting on my desk waiting to be used. The blue is not quite right, but the colours and the tree were perfect.
And then when Roxie posted the sketch this morning, it was good to use with the image. And of course, for the LSC what could be more chocolatey than a French chocolate shop .
The base is an Indian Cotton card. I didn't like it left bare, so I stamped En Francais with Versamark and dusted over it with beige, green and light brown chalk pastels.
The paper is, I think, Daisy D, layered on brown Core'dinations. The yellow strip was embossed and then I added some gold swirled organza ribbon before attaching it to the card. The main image is on watercolour paper, coloured with watercolour pencils and layered on more Core'dinations. I added photo corners in the left hand corners, and little faux brads punched from the Daisy D paper. I added more little brads in the right-hand corners.
The sentiment is from Think Happy Thoughts, and is up on foam, with a blue eyelet in the centre. I just added some leaves falling down the yellow strip, and that's it.

Lovely - so many great elements. I like the 3-d effect you achieved with the layers behind the image - I think it is the very narrow mat with a wider one on the outside.
