Well well well, wasn't I delighted to get a call from our dear sweet Maxie, to ask me to drive out to JFK airport and pick her up so she could visit me! So I drove from StamPford to the airport and we stayed the night chatting and drinking wine and trying to be quiet as to not wake up my new boarder, Miss Crabtree.
Maxie wants to go into Manhattan today and says while she thoroughly enjoyed her visit with Anne Ryan, so full of southern hospitality and charm, that she cannot wait to get into NYC to enjoy the noise, the grit, the fast pace and a great deli sandwich! (And she did say it made her a little nervous to be in the company of a felon, no matter HOW charmant!!) So I have arranged for the day off work and as soon as Miss Maxie awakens we will head in to the city, see a play, see the sights and such. I am not sure how long I will be blessed with my visitor but I plan to make the most of it! Thanks for looking!

Looks like Maxie is having a marvelous time with you Nancyruth, but she had e-mailed me from Anne Ryans and told me to have the lattes ready that she would be heading my way. Do you know how long she plans on staying with you?? I hope she is not going to be tired from all the sight seeing in the city, because I have a full day planned when she gets here. Not too much more to drink for her after all that is quite a drive from stampford to Guilderland NY. Or will she have a limo bring her??
Great job with showing how well she fits in manhattan!

I only stumbled across Maxie recently in Anne's gallery, and had to do a bit of research . She sure looks ready to enjoy a night out on the town. So clever to use the advertising background for your own.

Oh this Maxie! I miss her sooooo. When will she come back to me ? Seems by the likes of it, it won't be soon. I should be happy to see how well she fits in anywhere she goes though. Manhattan, I wish I could be there. Nancyruth you got her all made up with wonderful colors, I am use to her porcelaine skin, will have to get used to that also.
Miss Crabtree should be nicer with you and Maxie, I heard some stuff about her that would make your "beuverie" with Maxie look like a day in kindergarden. I would advise to let Maxie have a little "charm" talk with her, she does have honey running out of her mouth or something like that so does Debzi says. LOL
If not, I do have friends who can cook up mean fried green tomatoes! HA HA HA!
Good show Nancyruth, you got that Maxie glowing, love her with all those colors.

Dear sweet NR, as someone who has lived and worked in the big city, I dare say stampford is not quite as close to the hubbub of real living as one would have us think! Why I know it to be true that folks as far away as 200 miles consider themselves a bedroom community of the city! Everyone is always trying to impress people with their signature line, "why we're a bedroom community" of The City! Well, no matter where you are or how you got there, I'm elated that ms. Maxie has arrived on your doorstep, so to speak. Oh, there's a fabulous place over there on 23rd that I know she would just love. Do take her there. I believe the gentlemen you need to ask for is Pierre! He will treat both of you like royalty!
I'm so grateful darling you mentioned southern hospitality... let me assure you darling I am not a southerner nor will I ever be a southerner by choice! Maxie clearly understood my position on that. I would however like to incline you toward removing that fictitious statement about my being a felon. Unfortunately, deborah has a way of spreading nasty rumors to witch none have a shread of evidence, i might add. Fabulous card with such a wonderful hint of the big life!
