Hi! This card was made for today's Ways to Use It Challenge: Watercolor Paper!
I got up REALLY early this morning and saw that the challenge was posted, I decided to go ahead and work on it...I made my first card, and already posted it...With Speedy the Cat sitting on my lap chattering away, I finally finished my second card of the day! LOL!
The image was stamped onto watercolor paper with Noir Black Palette Hybrid Ink. Next, it was colored with SU! markers and blended with an aqua painter.
I cut out the image and realized that I wanted to change the direction of the stem....So, I cut the leaves and figs off the stem and put them where I wanted...One of the figs kept falling off, so I LEFT it off! LOL!
You know...I love this Figs and Pomegranates set. But, the entire time I was trying to reposition the figs, the Monkey and the FIGS scene from the first "Indiana Jones" movie kept replaying in my mind. I wonder if Speedy the Cat was trying to tell me, "Bad Figs!"???? (It's the line said after the monkey is found dead....)
That said, TRY to get a Fig cookie away from me, I dare you! LOL!
The Nesties background was made by Reverse Masking.
The Brick Red textured card base was stamped with the leaf from Autumn Flourishes in VersaMark and embossed in Gold to create a border.

This is gorgeous! Your coloring is superb! I just bought some watercolor paper, and I am going to try this technique with my aqua painters. Somehow I doubt my results will look like yours! lol

I love this Faith. It contains all the wonderful elements of warmth, richness, tradition and splendor that get our hearts stirring at this time of year.
