Good Friday everyone!
Today's LSC was a little different. We had to use pink somewhere on our card, and we had to use a leaf.
I have been inspired by so many of the gorgeous pointsettias that have been done lately by cullenwr and jaydekay. I had wanted to try doing a pinkish poinsettia so today was the day to try it. I also had wanted to try the new tutorial here on SCS for the Scallop Edge Medallion.
My Very Vanilla Medallion had to be cut to 3" instead of the 2 3/4" in the tutorial because it is the Fiskar punch and I needed a little more space. Love the technique, though I wish I had stamped some flourishes on it before I mounted it on dimensionals... too late now! I did use some river rock ink and a blender pen to run a little around all the edges for a little definition, and the word "joy" is embossed in gold.
The poinsettias are stamped on Very Vanilla and embossed in gold, then colored with a blender pen and Pink Pirouette ink. I cut 2 extra flowers and cut out the central petals to pop up in the center of the middle flower. The other one I colored with river rock and cut out as leaves.
Everything is mounted on a river rock panel which had been run through the CB with the leaf ef. That was mounted on PP, and on a white base. Ribbon, pearls and gold liquid pearls finish it off.
Thanks for looking! I'm sorry I can't get a good photo today! It is very dark here today and the embossing is just tough to photo.

this is so pretty, and what fun use of the medalion... I like your arrangement of the poinsettias. They are so pretty in pinks.. I know that reds are the traditional color for them..but when you go and look at all the new fun colors then grow them in now.. wow... the skies the limit..
your card is lovely.. keep em coming!
I may have to case your wonderful design.
