I made these cuties with the SU! Scallop Circle Punch, 1/4" circle punch, and some googlie eyes. From L to R: Jack o' lantern, Spider, Mummy, Ghost, Frankenstein, & Ladybug.
My son wants a witch one next, still working that one out. You can use peppermint patties or chocolate coins for the insides. I'm using Halloween-themed "Monster Munny".
Directions for the Mummy:
Punch out 3 scallop circles with the SU! scallop circle punch. Take a sponge and press it onto a SU! Chocolate Chip classic ink pad. Lightly swipe sponge around the edges of the first scallop circle to give it an "aged" look.
Take the second scallop circle and your paper snips. Make two straight cuts through the middle to get the longest strip. Take the two "halves" and cut up into smaller strips. Use sponge and ink to swipe the edges of all your strips so that they match your base scallop circle. The strips become your mummy "wrap" pieces.
Use your favorite adhesive (I used snail) to fix the wraps onto the first scallop circle. I put the smaller pieces on first and then the longest piece over the top so I could tuck in the corners on the small bits.
Use a 1/4" circle punch to cut out a mat for your googlie eyes. The googlie eyes I bought from Michaels are 5mm in size and the 1/4" circles make the eyes pop out a bit more from the base scallop circle. Glue eyes to 1/4" circles and glue circles on top of wraps. Glue the mummy to the top of your candy (chocolate coin, peppermint patty, etc). Glue the last scallop circle to the back of your candy to make a sandwich and you're done!
Substitutions: Instead of SU! Chocolate Chip, you can try Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel, Basic Gray, or Going Gray for adding the "aged" look to your mummy wraps. You can probably use a word window punch instead of cutting up a 3rd scallop circle to make the wraps. If you want a really old mummy you could use a light yellowish cardstock like So Saffron instead of white for the scallops and wraps. I used black cardstock for the 1/4" circles, but you could use other Halloween-ish colors like orange or green as well to mix it up a bit.
I'm a limited supplies gal (no word window punch for example!), but these treats are super easy to make and the only real requirement is a scallop circle punch...and googlie eyes! Sorry, but you just can't substitute the googlie eyes and the kookiness they add to these Halloween treats!

Those totally rock. I won't doing them in the dentist's office tomorrow, LOL, but I may seriously do them for my 8 year old's class. They're just too darn cute.

too cute! This is definitely going into my Favs Folder to CASE for teacher appreciation gifts. If anyone out there creates other holiday-themed goodies like this, please post (I'm creativity challenged right now)
