For today's challenge I created this little bear scene. The news keeps giving us up-dates on the little bear cub that got badly burned on all four paws by one of our fires this summer. After burning my hand recently, I can so relate to the little guys pain. Here are my somethings.....
Something Old: My Will n Way stamp for the sign, and my SU Happy Camper Set.
Something New: Judi Kins birch tree bg stamp. Very cool.
Something borrowed: At first I was going to borrow some of Rosco dog's hair to make my bear furry. But it just wasn't working out. I had hair everywhere! LOL So, I borrowed a technique my sister shared with me a long time ago. Faux leather.
Something blue: My sky and clouds.
After uploading my picture, I notice a big boo boo on this card. I'm not going to tell you what it is. So if you happen to see it , I just wanted you all to know that I know I goofed! LOL ........TFL :0)

Wow!! LOVE IT!! Poor little Rosco. I do not think the bear would have looked right *red*. Rosco is a redhead dog. BUT you did a awesome job with the faux leather on the bear. He actually looks like he has fur. Love the aspen/birch (I prefer aspen from Colorado) trees. Love your scene, the clouds, the coloring and especially you my dear sister. Thank you for another great card. You rock!!!!
hugs,
cj

This is just wonderful! I love the frame and the birch trees bg. (I see the boo boo, but only because you pointed out that there was one, so I looked really hard, lol).

This is a fantastic scene! I love the way the trees are inset. The boo boo cracks me up! I would not have noticed unless you mentioned it. Funny how the camera will show you something. Glad I'm not the only one that makes boo boos and I hope your paw and the bear's paws are okay!

Love the way you designed this card. I love the trees, you did a wonderful coloring job on them. As for the boo-boo, I agree with scrappigramma2....it does remind me of a swamp, but I love it!! It actually brought back a memory to me that I had not even thought of for probably 20 years....when I was young, our parents took my sister and I on a vacation of the southern states between Florida and Texas, and we actually went into a swamp - it was dark (not night-time, just darkened from the shade of the tall trees and the dark water). I remember that it was so wild seeing all the trees in the water and very mysterious....hmmm, I'm going to have to go thru my mom's picture albums and find those pics! Anyway...great job on the card and thanks for the memory!!
