Hello and thanks for viewing my submission for the SCS Limited Supplies Challenge. We were to create a card that had only 2 colors involved, and one of the colors had to be white! I've gotta tell ya...this challenge made my head hurt! After 3 hours of spinning in circles, I came up with this. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but I'm glad that it's done ; )
I used the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder to create the card white background, leaving the middle flat for the sentiment "Wishing You Joy". Then I grabbed SU Bodacious Bouquet and stamped the flowers in Pretty in Pink, cutting them out, embellishing them with either Prismacolor pink pencil & mineral spirits or with white gel pen and lots of "Faith Dots". The upper right Bodacious Bouquet Crocus was "kissed". This technique is really cool...you stamp a background type stamp that has some intricate design with your ink pad, then you take your stamp that you want "kissed", in this case, the Bodacious Bouqet Crocus and stamp it onto your background stamp, then stamp it on your cardstock. I then cut out the "kissed" Crocus and highlighted the edges with Prismacolor pink. The smaller flowers were embellishment flowers from Jolees. I paper-pierced the edges of the card, and finished it with a brass serpentined ribbon slide and pink & white polka dotted ribbon.
So, what do you think of my Bodacious Pink Splash?
