This took a long time, I wanted to capture each lovely layer of Karen's Inspiration piece.
I first stamped the whole image with the minty color pigment ink, then clear embossed it. I sponged on barely banana to give yellow to the background. I then stamped the snowflakes in gold and clear embossed them. I then stamped the ornaments in clear and embossed them in Pirate Gold which is REALLY golden and bright. I then stamped the pine boughs in brown staz on, I wanted them to recede a bit. I then stamped the little bough with the berries in a pecanish color pigment ink and clear embossed them. I took a soda can tab and used the same minty ink and then clear embossed it, and ran gold ribbon through it. I embossed the white outer edge with the minty color, clear embossed it and then filled the rest in with mint medley markers. WHEW! I ran out of tiem and have to get to work, not sure what the sentiment will be, maybe the word sparkle or something like thAt. Unfortunately the camera does not capture the depth and liveliness of this card, but you do get the idea....
TFL!

NancyRuth, I'm lost for words! It's absoulutely gorgeous!!!! All that embossing and painstaking care with your card - definitely worth it!!!! It' so delicate and true to the challenge - love it!!! I think I know what you mean about pirate gold - I've been using egyptian gold - and it too is a sparkely true gold - not that green gold one sometimes sees. Gorgeous!

Wow NancyRuth, what a lot of work. I am sure your card is stunning IRL, sometimes it is hard to capture the wonderful details in a photo or scan. I hope you weren't late for work....
