I tore and taped the layers as I was shaping it, then cut the sides to even it out. Gold wire cord was wrapped and taped to the underside of the tree. I gold-embossed the right edge of the cardfront (using double-sided tape), then trimmed with Deckle scissors. I glued a strip of the woven teal cardstock along the inside card edge so it would show through to the front. Tree top star was embossed, cut and attached with dimensionals.

Thanks, guys, and in answer to sahm_i_am -- No, I didn't use the Tearing Edge; I tore it the old-fashioned way. Which raises an interesting question to anyone out there: Is the Tearing Edge really worth the $$ ?????? I've thought about buying one, but always feel I'd rather have another stamp set with the money. (And I suppose I should go check the forums now, since this has probably been kicked around a few times.)

Awesome Idea!
BTW, I have customers who can't do without "The Tearing Edge" and some who feel they don't need it. I bought it to demo with (even though I was in the "don't need it" group) and I'm finding that I actually use it more than I thought!
