Today Gracie is our hostess for the Teapot Challenge, and she has us reminiscing. When I was young my parents belonged to an archery club. We would go camping as a group in the summer. One of the families in the group were Native American. I can remember sitting on the ground in a circle and the grown-ups would pass around a peace pipe. On one occasion the kids were allowed to take a small toke. I realize nowadays that would be considered poor parenting, but we were excited. The feathers on this dream catcher remind me of the feathers that hung from that peace pipe. Thanks for the memories, Gracie.

That is a fascinating backstory - thanks for sharing it. And what a beautiful card. The colours certainly remind me of the beads on a native American leather pouch my great-grandfather brought back from his visit, that wonderful aqua/turquoise shade.

Denise, this is so lovely! I love the beautiful dream catcher die cut and the pretty colors you've combined. The embossed cattails are perfect backdrop for this given the Native American reverance for mother earth. My husband is part Native American ~ this card would definitely appeal to him and his siblings. Love it!

What a fabulous card. Great story and childhood experience. I think we would all be more tolerant of others if we could experience some of their culture at a young age.

That is a wonderful story, very different from most of the ones here and I'm glad you shared it. The card is beautiful, and those pretty colors add a fresh feel to a traditional item.
