When I saw the challenge was for shading I remembered this still life painting that I never did while in art class, so decided this would be the perfect opportunity to get it done. I found it fun to do, which is unusual for me as I am not fussed on still life painting usually. I do want to add grounding but will wait until I get a frame for that. It will not be dark is all I know at this point. In any event there are more details on my blog.

Wow! Your lemons are stunning! The shadows look fabulous! I love the way your colors blended on the leaves and how you continued the color in dots on your lemons. Beautiful!

Love the lemons! They look zesty and ready to be plucked . . . good job on shading those rounder objects plus the faces of the stems for shading on a different plane. Lots to consider as you painted this.
