Thanks for a fun and easy Watercolor Wednesday challenge, Angie. I enjoyed painting these abstract flowers. And they were perfect for a birthday card that I needed to make. I know I was supposed to use cold press paper for this, but I was too lazy to stand up and find my cold press paper. The hot press paper was right next to me. I had a 5.5 x 5.5 square piece that I cut in half for the skinny painting. I used magenta and rose red for my flowers and found a pretty DP to frame it. To finish off the edges of my painting, I rubbed them with some Nuvo mousse.

Your flowers turned out beautifully, regardless of the paper! I didn't use my best paper for my bookmarks and I am still happy with how they turned out. The light and dark on your flowers are stunning and I love the lacy background paper. Such an elegant birthday card!

Hot pink on hot press paper looks pretty impressive to my eyes! Love the vibrancy of your blooms. Nice paper for the bg to compliment the blooms. Glad you added this beauty to the gallery.

A beautiful card Jen - the hot press paper is fabulous paper and perfect for cards, so I would not fuss there. I love the boldness of your colours, perfect for this challenge.
