The MIX this week, hostessed by Polly (peeps321) is the Reverse Stencil Technique. There are so many ways (and videos to support those ways). I admit to watching quite a few before I arrived at Carol Dube. I did enjoy this process.
Our Inspiration hostess this week is Kia (kiagc). She has selected an interior decorator's Pinterest page...talk about gorgeous inspiration...embroidered jacket. Thanks Kia!
My stencil is from TCW 6x6 Rebekah Meier 'Art is Love'. I love the vibe, very sixties, flower power, and free love (whoever coined that phrase?????). And used dressmaking details, adding the mini beads, the vintage floral lace, a burlap and silvered trim, fussy cut the sentiment and applied over back over the original words. They were sprayed with Tattered Angels Shimmer Spray.
Thank you, Polly for the Reverse Stencil MIX. Stencils are a blast! Can't wait to see what inspired our community this week. I'd love to hear what you think...

'Tis a very cool jacket, I totally see the inspiration behind this. And a cool stencil, too. I really like the tie on her plaited hair (I'm imagining a long, loose braid).

Susan, this is amazing and fun and so well done. Love your inspiration picture and how you incorprated it into this great card. The lace and the colors are so cool! Wish I had that jacket and was as thin as the model so it would look that great on me - lol! Hugz

Brilliant depiction of your inspiration piece! I love all the little details...the lace and microbeads etc...they are so sixties! Like Nancy I could see wanting that jacket as a young wanna be cool chick. I really like your treatment of the sentiment, too....fabulous card!! Thanks for playing along and trying this technique.

Sitting here Saturday morning, drinking some iced coffee, fan blowing on me (I think it will be a better day but we are so dry) and enjoying all the beautiful details on your card. What a glorious jacket (she is so thin, that has to be a minus 1 size)and your creation is exquisite. Love all the dressmaking details.
