Hello friends, it's time for a new Color Challenge! This week Mary is hosting and has chosen the lovely fall palette of Merry Merlot, Daffodil Delight and Canjun Craze, with a dessert option to make a fall or Thanksgiving card. My card is one of encouragement with a fall theme.
Although only 7 weeks, it seems much longer since I've posted, but I moved from Oregon to Idaho and have been busy with all that craziness. So glad to be back with my friends on SCS!
My card is pretty simple. The background was ink blended with all three SU colors of ink then splattered with water. The leaves were die cut from panels of watercolor paper that had been ink "smooshed" with the challenge colors, and the sentiment respectively stamped and die cut from Merry Merlot ink and paper.
Thanks for looking and I hope you'll join us in the Color Challenge this week!
Stef
I'm also joining the current challenge at The Paper Players to make a CAS card with a large sentiment as the focal point. You can find the challenge here.
Stamps: That is All (WPlus9)
Paper: Cream (Simon Says Stamp), Merry Merlot, Canson XL, Strathmore Bristol
Ink: Merry Merlot, Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze
Other: Fab Foliage (MFT), Elegant Leaves (Sunny Studio), and Script Words dies

And she's back! So glad to have you back with us, Stef! We've missed you. You say this card is pretty simple, but oh, my! It just glows! I love the way you blended the background colors, the splatters of water, and the beautiful leaves. What a wonderful card of encouragement! Love this!
