Hi friends,
I saw this ornament in the holiday section. It reminded me of this stamp I have. The oval bg is just an inky bg that I made ages ago. I did an "In the Box" cut which is actually harder than the usual Out of the Box die cutting. I stamped the image onto white and drew the oval where I wanted it using the die to trace around. I then cut from the inside to the trace line where I did not want the die to cut so that I could lift them up over the die (like the trees and large flamingo).. What makes it harder is having to cut in a small contained area...makes moving the scissors around much harder. After cutting, put the die down on the line drawn and lift the trees etc so that they lay on top of the die then run it through the machine and hope you didn't get mixed up, LOL! Then I colored my image like normal. One colored I then glued it to the background. I really wish I had popped it up over the bg but didn't think of it till I had it down...too late!!
Thanks for looking!

Wow, what a labor of love to get the in-the-box scene! The colors are so vibrant and the sparkle on the water looks spectacular! Love every bit of this!
