I am happy, so happy...it's summer and Saturday. And the Chucks are out! Thank you, Stacy over at the Inspiration Challenge this last Saturday in June for selecting the Converse as in kicks for our inspiration. LUV!
I am also putting my work in the Shirley's F4A488, Starts or Stripes or Both and Kathleen Curry's CAS539, Summer Activities.
I must admit this did not go as I WANTED. My printer refused to do what I WANTED. And so it came down to plan B. A full size print of my photo I took this morning. I wanted a few 3.5x5 prints...what I got probably took all the rest of my color ink in the tanks!!! BUT, how can I stamp such a sentiment: the best JOURNEYS are not always straight lines and not Follow those wise words?
So here's what happened to arrive where you see. Cropped the full size print. Stamped the sentiment with VersaFine 'Majestic Blue' and embossed tenderly with Ranger 'detail' ep. Added &d and called it done.
These two pairs of Chucks are hanging in our garage along with the snowboard, various helmets, and other gear. There are MANY, many pairs of Chucks in various states of well worn luv. I want to eventually cut them apart and make something as a memory for Andy....eventually. I think I'll either frame this as a gift or put it in a large scale Mixed Media journal along with future random journeys that began one way and veered.....
Thanks so much for hanging with me...you just never know what you'll find in your garage...

What an awesome photo Susan - and wonderful sentiment to go with the sneakers (I'm not seeing your card in the IC gallery for some reason - I found it linked at the challenge in the forum so maybe you want to check it??) so glad I found it!

Wow, this is really cool! Taking something that is so ordinary around the house and spotlighting it like this is brilliant! I love how you added this wonderful sentiment on the photo too. What a great way to preserve this wonderful memory of happy times. ~Karen.
