It is my pleasure to be your hostess in the Color Challenge this week. The colors are Powder Pink, Balmy Blue and Highland Heather, with a dessert option to make your own patterned paper.
The focal point of my card is this pretty flower from the Handwritten Floral Greetings stamp set. I used Bristol paper, stamped with VersaMark ink, heat set with white embossing powder, and fussy cut. Then I used a brush marker in Violet and water brush to color the flower.
The background paper should have been Bristol, too, since that paper takes the Distress Oxide ink so beautifully, but I didn't think about that until I'd already stamped and embossed on regular white cardstock. I did forge ahead, and I think it turned out fine, although I did have to blend two colors of pinks to get a color close to Powder Pink. A few pink and blue flowers and a purple greeting, and the stamping was done.
I thought the colors needed a little pizzazz, so decided to cut the foliage in silver glitter paper. Popped the layer up with fun foam, and then popped the flower up even more with foam tape.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

This is so lovely Barbara! I love the design with the ink blended background with the pretty floral pattern on the top half of the card, the gorgeous purple flower and the lovely silver glitter branches, which certainly stepped up the wow factor as you planned. Very lovely with the colors you chose this week!

Wow, is this ever gorgeous! That flower draws the eye right in and your softly blended colors are wonderful. I love the pop of silver glitter paper for the foliage!
