MariLyn is looking for a Touch of Wow for her MIX challenge, Lydia wants us to Cut to the Punchline for January's theme and Pat's January 23 Teapot challenge was to use stitching and a farm theme. And my WTUI challenge, Give Me a Second Chance, was to bring out your unused tools.
We have so many marvelous products that bring out the WOW from me. The first time I used Glossy Accents and saw the glassy finish, using Liquid Pearls and Nuvo for a dimensional finish, combining alcohol inks and colored pencils and gel pens, and oh the die cuts! I could go on and on. So I had to use all of them for this card ;)
I stamped, colored and fussy cut the vase of sunflowers, used an Exacto to cut away the bottom petals. Created some reflection with with a fan brush and white acrylic paint, then added a few coats of Glossy Accents. I turned my stamped image and used my TH spritzer tool with both water based and alcohol markers for the bg. I die cut and embossed the gingham paper to get the stitched lines. Folded the die cut doily over the edge and adhered to the panel and card base. Popped up the vase of sunflowers and a stamped sentiment from my stash to complete. TFL

A beautiful card, Carla, and so happy with the lovely vase of sunflowers. Like you, I loved glossy accents and liquid pearls when I started out card making but, for some reason or other, haven't used either on a card lately, thank you for reminding me to do so! I love the gingham & lace doily for the vase of flowers and your fabulous spritzed bg!

Yep on all those WOWs, and they have combined to make a most beautiful card for Betty. I love the soft spattered background, and the gingham and doily add a lovely country farmhouse feel. The texture in this must be wonderful to feel.

Carla, what beautiful sunflowers you have created. WOW, I love how the background looks. I like how you added the twine bow and the paper doily. A little bit of sunshine on a winter day. I am so happy that you played along with my challenge and shared your creation. I hope you have a blessed day today.
