I chose this old Christmas card I made in 2009. I don't know why I thought a black background was a good idea for a Christmas card. Instead I just matted the image on black and used a white card base. I changed the designer paper that didn't compete with the cool sentiment that was already there and then I added a scalloped border. I think this looks a lot better for these adorable snowmen.

The change in paper made this so much cheerier and bright, and I love how the scallop trim echoes the shoe shape. Very cute card. I've got a big box of cards tucked away that would keep me busy for the rest of the year. Thanks for playing in my challenge.

I like the brighter colors and DPs that you chose on your remake, Jen. The thin black framing does make your image panel "pop". Both are cute cards tho'.

Cute! I like your first card fine, but this one does seem brighter and cleaner. Nice improvements. Cute image with a fun sentiment. The scallop edge is terrific. Well played. TFS

Snowman fan here so I like both of your cards. That said, I really like the thin black mat on this version as it really pops your snowman panel. The scalloped edge and the cute red bow are fabulous finishing touches.
