I created my background, edged it with a black pen, added the gold mesh ribbon and put it on a gold base. The Cardinal Ornament was coloured with Inktense pencils and layered on a gold mat. In hindsight I'm not sure if adding the ribbon worked with the positioning of the pine cones, but it was well stuck down, so it is what it is. I added some white Liquid Pearl dots to finish it off.

Beautiful card. I may have to think about using this technique for a Christmas card. You have motivated me.

Love the pine needles.........we have cardinals in our spruce pine tree!! Love that beautiful RED bird!
