TLC630 ~ Baby Wipe Watercolor ~ {3/19/17} by kellyjg
So I tried the baby wipe technique and put my colors on the acrylic block and that was easy. I used distress stains and such, spritzed with water, used a craft wipe to pick up colors and added to a watercolor paper panel. WELL, I dropped the panel back on the very wet block and fumbled a couple of times and the paper got soaked. I used the heat gun to dry it and thought it looked usable.
The memory box tulips were die cut from other watercolor/smash/cleanup disaster pieces I keep for unknown reasons. The leaves were die cut from a piece of watercolor paper that I used ‘direct to acrylic block’ over and over in DI peeled paint, shabby shutters and forest moss ink pad. The rail strip under the butterfly was the left over from die cutting the stems.
This was good therapy for neuropathy.
Thanks Kelly and Ally for the challenges and everyone for stopping by!

Beautiful! Love your creative 'saves'! Those tulips are gorgeous. The colours are so realistic and look wonderful against the pinks of your background!

Angela this is gorgeous!!! Love your technique, those flowers and butterfly are stunning and the embellishments are perfect. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who "keeps disaster pieces for unknown reasons" lol!!

Love tulips and these colors are stunning - whatever that watercolor/smash/cleanup disaster was it turned out to be a truly happy accident and looks as if you intended them to be this way. Lovely card.

How classy and beautiful, Angela. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who drops things, though with my ill luck it's usually onto a black inkpad which shouldn't have been open. The disaster pieces you used for the butterfly and tulips are gorgeous, remind me of some long-hoarded Provocraft papers.
