This is my card for the CAS challenge #420 and round 7 alpha challenge letter V. I used a tiny violet stamp to make the background, colored with inktense pencils and blender pen. Then I sponged lightly over it and added the little black dots. Part 2 of the challenge was to use the verse as the focal point. I used hemp twine for the CAS string challenge.

Oh my Melody! This is gorgeous! I love your handmade dp!!! You did a wonderful job! I've tried doing that before, but my spacing never looked nice. And the way you added the soft hints of yellow... and the little dots! It's just perfect!

The background paper you created is beautiful. I think we forget that we can create our own backgrounds. Reaching for the DSP is so easy. Your card is gorgeous! TFS!
Oh violets for V and I too was thinking along the same lines. But I know I would never create something as gorgeously perfect as this! How could it miss? Yellow!!! Combined with violet it's a match in heaven!!! So is your ever so well knowledge of creating hand made things of your own. Like your own DSP. I know if you were stuck on a island with non or just 1 overly priced craft store , you would survive as would your crafting from absolutely nothing and from scratch. Like a perfect recipe.

Melody the bg you created is gorgeous - and I love your sentiment and how you made it the focal point!! Beautifully done!
