My intention was to try and replicate stone. After 4 tries on white, decided to do it on dark gray since when I watercolored the stone which is done with modeling paste over a stencil, I'd mess up the "cement". I stamped, colored with copic and pencil and fussy cut my Crazy Dog and had an 18 year old granddaughter draw me a proportional stocking. I colored and fussy cut it and used a brad nail to fasten to the stone. The sentiment was computer generated and I drew the boxes around the words and cut. This tag was SO fun to do! Thanks for stopping by!

Oh my gosh ... this is SO ADORABLE Nancy! Love the stone background ... great idea to keep the "cement" dark gray. Very cool effect with the colouring of the stone. And that dog ... it's the eyes that get me. Makes me smile. The stocking is awesome --- great drawing skills by your granddaughter. It's a nice addition to add a bit more red into the tag. And the sentiment is PERFECT! Thanks for sharing at my tag event! xx

Nancy, That stone work is so realistic and such a neat stocking! The best part to me is how you shaded your sentiments, especially with the black around the edges to really make it pop! Another top notch tag! tfs

That wall is great, I love the natural stone look. You have quite the talented grand daughter, I wish I could draw like that, creativity runs in the family me thinks such a fun tag with that sweet little dog.

Wow, wow, wow!!! I was all set to order the stone stamp only to learn YOU made it. Nancy everything about this is fabulous. How terrific that your GD is also talented (just like Ryan).

I had to grin when I saw this, knowing how much you love to fussy cut. The tag turned out great - super idea to use gray paper; the stone looks awesome! Love the stocking, too, and of course, the big eyed pup! Super cute!
