I made this thank you card for my dear friend Donna who loves the color purple. Donna sent a wonderful care package (from her doxie dog "cousin Gracie") to our cat Sadie who had been in the emergency room recently. Sadie became very ill very suddenly and it was quite a scary time. Then low and behold, this wonderful package comes in the mail from Donna filled with a cat-nipped toy mouse, a wonderful Stampendous stamp for "mom" and one of Donna's super fabulous stitchery cards. Needless to say, this really made my day so I wanted to make a special card for me friend. When I finished the card, my husband said, "those are pretty lavender roses" and my brain went ding! I can use this for the alphabet challenge for the letter L. Yay!

Beautiful card. Purple is one of my favorite colors as well, and Donna is going to be in awe of such beautiful, delicate, lavender flowers. I love the different shades of purple and green. Your silver foil is perfect for framing such beauty. Well done!

Nothing wrong with making another "L" card, I say. This one is so pretty and I think there is a diagonal challenge somewhere so it would qualify for that too. Hope Sadie is doing well now!

This is absolutely beautiful! The dark and light flowers is such pretty contrast.
What a wonderful, thoughtful gift package from Sadie's " cousin". As a 'cat Mom', I can empathize with how frightening it can be to have a sick kitty. They seem to get sick so suddenly and require immediate veterinary care - so scary. I hope Sadie is feeling better and on the mend.

Beautiful card....and expertly colored. I like how you made the one flower bolder and more prominent since there are just the two blossoms.....makes the composition more interesting. Very smart.

Beautiful card and so nicely coloured as well. Lavender and all shades of purple are my favourite colours too. I am sure your friend will love this card in return for her kindness and thoughtfulness.

Karen this is stunning! Gorgeous layered stamping, gorgeous colors. Purple is my DH's favorite color too and green is mine so this is a fabulous color scheme! I'm sure Donna will love it too. I hope Sadie is fully recovered now.
