Well, I am back to struggling with watercolor. I need more practice apparently and I need to get more relaxed. This was my third attempt today and I almost gave up completely. In retrospect, I should have masked the flower so that the leaves fit in better around it. I need to keep trying to get the water to paint ratio right. I did end up using some green watercolor paint as I just couldn't get the turquoise and saffron to blend well enough...thus the overworking of the color on the leaves. Oh well. It's a journey.

This is BEAUTIFUL!!! I wouldn't be hard on yourself for anything. I really think this is stunning!! I love the way you used the saffron and left the glow in the middle. You use the colors in a terrific way!!

I think this is a gorgeous watercolor card, Kathy. I think you did a great job. As an aside, I have masking fluid but don't know how to mask anything. Talk about practice, I need to practice how to do that.

Oh, Kathy, this is gorgeous!! And you're right that this a journey, and it's a long one with lots of practice! I'm still practicing and will be for a long time! Beautifully done! And, one thing is right (I've found) is relaxing. I found some of the best strokes were by relaxing. Keep showing us your work! Hugs!
