Such wonderful items to chose from on today's IC site! I was really struck by the color & pattern in THIS . The pointy triangles reminded me of the pointy roof on my covered bridge & the colors were perfect for the w/c scene around it.
I made a bg on water color paper using regular pan water colors & a little Brushos water color crystals. I added the colors, approximating where the image would be, dried it w/ a heat gun then stamped the scene in Versafine.
A few more detail colors were added after it was stamped then it was die cut. I had to do a little out of the box to keep from trimming off the tree tops. On the rest of water color bg, I stamped the trees & tree tops again to make it look as if there is a forest on the layer behind the bridge. A stitched rectangle frame was added on top & then the rest of the water color bg added under the image.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! Thanks so much for looking! Closeups & the inside are on my blog: The Write Stuff

hi Julie, I just love how you do the 'out of the box' so well....lovely scene card, I think they always work so well for so many different occasions.
Still no snow but a lot colder today.

Awesome! This scene is gorgeous. The colors are so rich. Love the out-of-the-box technique used for the trees. It gives so much dimension to your card. Fabulous job. TFS
