hi there,
Here is my card for the F4A challenge today: Hopeful Change. Great challenge to honor this day! Today, I decide to transform the fading flowers on my geraniums into a pressed image on my card front. What was dying has found new life!
I took leaves and flowers, laid them onto my watercolour paper and ran it through my Cuttlebug. I added a bit of shading with my watercolour pencils and stamped the sentiment.
Thanks for looking,

Today is a tough one for me. It is the last day that I saw my Dad before he passed away and I remember this day and watching as the planes hit the towers. Just a surreal moment.

Karen, I am sorry for your extra tough day on this date. On a positive note, you continue to bring beauty to the gallery and whoever you pass your cards to. This is absolutely gorgeous. I wouldn't have guessed you did it with real flowers. I have tried that technique but have never gotten any results like this. Take lots of deep breaths today and remember you are loved.
This must be an especially hard day for you and I'm sorry about that. Its so hard to lose the people we love. Especially parents. They love us unconditionally like no one else. But through that love for your father you have created some beautiful art. Your card is beautiful.

Very pretty and the sentiment goes so well. Did you use pink flowers again?? I remember last time we both did this that's what happened...the pink turned purple. Lovely card. Hugs to you
Wonderful way to preserve you flowers! ...just as I am sure you have preserved the memory of your Dad. I am sorry for your suffering and have said a little prayer on your behalf. i hope you find joy in beautiful memories.
