I had such fun making this for Linda's super-fun WTUI challenge today to use the flower or gem for our birth month, and for this week's CCEE Stampers challenge, where Frances is asking us to mark "barefoot day" with a barefoot image.
A while ago Stacy saw me use the Daisy Pattern stamp on a card, and she bought the stamp herself. In turn, her wonderful fussy cutting on THIS card inspired me for this card.
I stamped the Unity girl on watercolour paper, masked her and stamped the Daisy Pattern in Versamark and embossed with clear EP - after masking off the grassy area at the bottom. I used distress re-inkers to wash the background. The girl is coloured with Polychromos pencils. Some extra daisies stamped on scrap paper and cut out, and Stickles on the dandelion.
The sentiment was embossed with clear EP.
I wanted to keep the light airy feel, so I didn't do anything other than layer it on a white card base.

What a sweet card! I love that image! Your background of swirling flowers is so perfect. It really gives a feel of a windy summer day. Thanks for the link to Stacy's card. I enjoyed seeing that as well.

What a sweet card. I love the background stamp you used and the cute image. Yep, that is exactly what my hair looks like when I get up in the mornings. I had no idea there was a barefoot day.
