My SIL just deployed last Saturday for 9 months. I created this card to send to him along with a care package. Nine months is a long time to be separated. My daughter is really hurting right now. She's in VA, but will be moving here this weekend to live with us while he is away. We're hoping that helps to ease the pain somewhat. :-(
Anyway, today's ways to challenge fit perfectly with this card.
Thanks for taking a look and for the great challenge!

This is a fabulous card. I can imagine your daughter is very sad at this time. Maybe the two of you can make lots of cards for him while he is away. Prayers for all.

I pinned this, then fav'd it - it's stunning! Love everything about this - you did an amazing job. Please thank your SIL and daughter, for me, for the sacrifices they are both making for all of us! I pray the 9 months passes quickly for them, until they can be reunited.

I am sorry your SIL had to ship out for your daughter's sake, and for yours, because when our children hurt we hurt too. Your card is just lovely and I am sure he will appreciate it!

Beautifully done card - classy and regal. Your daughter coming home to you will be the best thing during deployment. I lived in Va Bch, VA for 9 years and loved it, but as a sailor's wife she will feel "lonely" at every turn since everything there will make her miss him even more. Thank goodness for Skype and emails these days.

What an awesome card with the navy seal and what a fabulous take on the challenge! God bless those that are deployed and prayers for their safe return! Now I will have to pull out the USMC seal and case it!!
