The Teapot Tuesday this week, we are supposed to come to a Halloween party in a costume reflecting a favorite historical or literary character. I am currently reading "Z," a book about F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, so I decided to come as a flapper from the '20s, the good times for F and Z.
I found this image on the web and colored with pencils. I put it on a silver frame and added a ribbon and faux button embellie. I just came across that ribbon the other day when I was looking for something else in my stash. I'm sure I got it on Christmas clearance at Mike's or Hobby Lobby last year or the year before -- it's an open weave with tinsel-ish blue and silver strands. It looks very current, and I just pulled some strands off to tie in the button.
It's Tickle a Teapaotter week, when we send our cards to each other. Come join the fun.

Yes, the 20's were the good times for the Fitzgeralds. I love the flapper, and dressed in blue she looks just lovely!! Good literary choice!

This is beautiful and elegant. The colours AND your colouring are wonderful. I can't believe you did this with pencils. I think you should come to my house for a holiday.....and don't forget to pack your pencils.
