Congrats Kim on hosting your first color challenge!! And a challenge it was, for me any how. I just couldn't seem to make these colors work for me very well no matter how many cards I made!!!! So here is the "FINAL" result. I ain't making any more cards trying to get it right I embossed my large mat using Darice's basketweave folder and my smaller label mat using the square lattice folder. I popped up my image matted in Island Indigo. I pierced along the left edge...believe me I needed dessert after all my attempts this morning to get a card done!!!! Added a couple of pearls and some ribbon to finish it off. Not completely satisfied, but it is what it is. TFL!!!

Mary, your description brought a smile to my face...think many of us "have been there, done that". Your "final result" is lovely and I like how you did the 2-step lilac blossom in the blues with the Limeade leaves. Pretty framing, embossing and piercing too.

Oh Mary, I'm sorry you had so many difficulties. Sometimes we just have days like that. I however do think this is a great looking card!! I love the 2 step lilac you used and how you used the colors. The basket weave you used is really a neat looking embossing folder.

I think this turned out beautifully! I know it's hard to work with a color palette that just doesn't come together for you, though! Good on you for persevering! I absolutely love the texture you achieved with those two beautifully embossed patterns.

I really like all the white and texture here. I love this stamp as well.....so pretty in the two blue shades.
