I wanted to honor the queen for this week Gabby, gabalot, and chose this cute penguin card SC353 Holiday Hugs by gabalot at Splitcoaststampers. It was perfect for today's Free For All Challenge: Black and White and Read All Over where we were to use newsprint with extra points for a b/w & red color scheme! Yay, I score! This even fits into yesterdays Ways to Use It Challenge For the Birds! I started by making my back panel of black stamped with Whisper White and embossed in white. I added some Versamark pen to the snowflake centers then used heat and stick powder to adhere some Dazzling Diamonds. I did the same to the smaller snow on the newsprint and on the edge of the torn snow: there's much more shimmer IRL! I made my owl punch penguin using this tutorial: http://juliedavison.blogspot.com/201...guin-card.html. I also embossed my sentiment and added a bit of glitter to it too.

What a cute card, Gail! I love penguins and almost made a card with them for today's F4A. I had forgotten about this CAS card I made. You improved upon it and it looks terrific. Thank you for coming to my "party!" Hee!
