Today I would like to share a Cottage Cutz creation I made with the Dragonfly mini die. I love die cutting and punching so you know I love the Cottage Cutz dies. It just takes it to another level with the images.
I started with the dragonflies. I die cut them and painted them with H2O's. This is the first time I used that paint and I have to say I love the shimmer and the way it goes on. The top dragonfly wing was painted with Bolivian Blue, the bottom wing with Olive Vine, and then I outlined the whole wing with bamboo.
The dragonflies were mounted on Spellbinders the smallest die from the Large round set. This was distress inked with Rangers Brush Corduroy and then mounted on top of a die from the Spellbinders Ironwork Accents set. The background was done with a Martha Stewart Punch around the Page set called French Scroll.
Thanks so much for taking a peek. I appreciate your stopping by and leaving a comment. I'll see you in the Gallery!

Wow - these are some rockin' dragonflies. Love the way you painted them - makes them look so real and so pretty. I am lovin' the way you layered and sponged the dies too. You punch count on this is off the roof. Stunning card Carol. Sending hugz your way.

What a great idea to use Twinkling H2O's with these die cuts Bearzi...the iridescence must be a dream IRL...almost life-like. Wonderful layout and papers, your punchin' hand must be worn out. Beautiful card, big Hugz. Happy Mother's Day, my friend!

Bearzi, this is AMAZING! I see you made the favorites - duh, why wouldn't you? I love every amazing color, sparkle and detail. The dragonflies are out of this world. I ordered 2 diecuts from Cottage Cutz after winning my prize and didn't know how to do the foam backing. I messed one of them up and knew I should have pm'd you first. I had a hard time finding the directions about the foam backings. Fortunately, they are going to send me a new foam mat for the teapot border punch. What a Fruitcake I am. The flowers I did correctly, thank goodness. I should have gone to you, the master of all diecuts!
