Heating ribbon is my favourite way to distress it, I hope it counts.
I took yesterday's sketch and exploded it out a bit - I'd thought it would work well with these small PB images, but when I was messing around with the layout I liked the blank space on the right so I went with a square card.
5 3/4" square base. Papers are Basic Grey, I think a couple are Wassail. After layering the neutral on the red base and adding the strips I stitched round the edge.
Penny Black image and sentiment stamped on watercolour paper with Versasfine Black and coloured with distress inks, plus a gold H2O for the shades, collar tag and brass.
I added a little organza bow which I heated and attached with a brad.
It's been a bleah day, so I'm not sure how I feel about this card .

Hope you have a better day tomorrow! Your card is so adorable - that image made me smile - it is so cute! Your heat-treated ribbon looks awesome against the DP/BG and image!!

Cute, cute, cute!! I love the image with that sentiment, Love how you have done your strips and love the ribbon!! It does look like Christmas greenery the way it has shrunk and twisted and with the red brad!!
