My demo has a monthly ‘featured stamper’ on her blog and this month it’s my turn to attempt her challenges. Donna’s blog: Just4u Stamping & Scrapbooking
My first card challenge was: A play on words... using two (or more) stamps, combine words (a word from each stamp) to create a new image.......
I used 6 different stamps from the Bring on the Cake and Thanks for Caring sets in the new SU Occasions mini to create my sentiment. I love my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig!!!
All of the DSP I used is from the “My Digital Studio” Vintage Springtime Designer Series Paper - Digital Download (printed on white 110lb cardstock). Found in the new mini… (The stamps & rosettes are also from the mini.)
The butterfly was stamped on Very Vanilla, cut out, spritzed with my trusty mix of Shimmer Paint and rubbing alcohol, smooshed (technical term) onto my Versamark pad and embossed with clear embossing powder (repeated the smooshing/embossing 2-3 times). Liked the way it turned out, especially with the bit of sparkle under the embossing. The sentiment panel is all shimmery too but somehow the camera doesn’t capture “shimmer” too well.
Once I got the card made, it seemed it would only be complete with a slice of cake and a flickering candle.

Wow, Heather, in addition to being a MDS WHIZ evidently AND getting all those "picture in a picture"s up on ONE screen - you are a first class comedienne!! [See Note*about the cake slice]
Seriously this is a super big WOW, GF, and I wish I lived closer to you so I could come and play with you in your craft room!! Two thumbs way up , plus using all my grandkids' thumbs too - (that's another 22 thumbs!!)

Well, I'll be darned Diz - you have exceeded The Fruitflakez'z picture perfect card photo shoots. This is AMAZING. I know you do things like this for your church and you have certainly "WOWED" me with not only the creations you've made, but the fantastic display and computer skills it took to make this come together. You are definitely my co-founder with whom I find no fault with. I LOVE that dsp and I have the SU digital program, but haven't added the new stuff to it. You certainly have used it to perfection and that butterfly - so shiny and sparkly. I'm kind of speechless over this display. I must go back to the drawing board and figure out how to improve my photography shoots - another bath mat perhaps???? GREAT JOB!!

What a lovely card - I especially love the butterfly.
Great slice of cake and candle too!

FAB-U-LOUS!!! What a sweet trio of gifts. And that thing about assuming there are any truffles left in the package for filling the cake-shaped box?? Yeah, BIG assumption!! Those don't last long at my house either . . .
